WHITEFACE: AN OPEN DISCUSSION ON A POST RACIAL OU
Bentley 236, 5pm to 6:30pm, just before Angela Davis’s lecture
An open forum following the Blackface performance Fridays Live! put on a couple of weeks ago. Why is this a problem, and what should we do about it?
FIRST FRIDAY FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIP THIS FRIDAY
This Friday is the 4Fs, an event where a group of emcees and other enjoyers of hiphop come together and participate (or watch) in the cypher. This was started by Charlie Brown, an alum member of HHC, and med graduate who used rhyme as a way of studying. Every Friday of the first month he would take his backpack (with attached speakers) outside on Court St. and he and whoever else showed up would take turns rhyming. The cypher was formed due to the circular turn-taking and playing of the words used.
This month’s 4F will take place at 11PM in front of Pawpurr’s Bar on Court St.

Emcee Battle March 13th!!!
You think you hold the best emcee skills in this region? Well this is an event for you! HHC along with Sigma Lambda Beta will be hosting OU’s first Ohio-wide emcee battle. We are calling all emcees from all over Ohio who want to come to Athens and show their skills. If you are interested, contact Pres. Acie Middleton for more information, registration, etc.
Dollar Party March 12th!!!
To hype up the emcee battle on March 13th, we’ll be throwing a dollar party the night before. THIS PARTY IS A DOLLAR (THAT’S RIGHT, $1)! DJ iShine on the 1s and 2s, just for you for $1! All of the money made for this party will go towards the Collins Annin fund, made for the Residential Coordinator Collins Annin who recently passed away from complications due to sickle cell anemia. The money will help his family take his body back his homeland Ghana. Who wouldn’t want to support that?!
